Movie

I’ve been seeing some good movies lately, here’s a short review of three films:
Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan
Borat is a very funny movie from the man behind Ali G, Sasha Baron Cohen. If you want a good laugh you should see this film with the crazy Kazakhstanian tv- journalist Borat Sagdiyev. Dice:
Casino Royale
The new Bond film is the best since Goldeneye. Daniel Craig is very good in his role as James Bond. A quite good action movie.
Blood Diamond
Leonardo DiCaprio has a good leading role in this movie about a fisherman and a smuggler, and their common quest to recover a priceless diamond. The film takes place in a civil war devastated Sierra Leone. It’s highly recommended, a strong five on the dice!!

Movie

Original title: Slipp Jimmy Fri
Nationality: Norwegian / British
Genre: Animation / Comedy
Released: 2006
Length: 85 min.
Directed by: Christopher Nielsen
Voices: Jan Sælid, Egil Birkeland, Anders T. Andersen, Janne Rønningen, Kristopher Schau, Are Sende Osen, Klaus Joacim Sonstad etc.
Outline: The movie is about Christopher Nielsens well-known «To trøtte typer», who’s escaping from town and their drugdebt, and engages themselves in the worlds worst circus in the norwegian mountains. Where the crazy sami-mifia is unscrupulous , the “trønder”-moose hunters have bloodfever, and the animal protectors are just pathetic..and last but not least the circus elephant is drug addict and constantly high
Review: I saw this movie in cinema yesterday, and it was a fun experience. It’s a quite impressive 3D-animation film, the story is totally crazy with a stoned elephant (Jimmy) in the leading role. The other persons in the movie are verry cool and funny guys, particularly the sami-mafia. The peoples doing the voices in this movie are doing a great job, which makes the movie even more worth seeing. Some may think this is a childish film since it’s animated, but that’s wrong. This is no film for young kids, it’s a hardcore, but fun action movie. Verry recommended!!

Movie

Original title: The Island
Nationality: USA
Genre: Action / Drama / Sci-fi
Released: 2005
Length: 136 min.
Directed by: Michael Bay
Actors: Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi etc.
Outline: Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a apparently utopian but contained facility in the year 2019. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to the “The Island”, the last uncontaminated place on earth. But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. He and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones. Lincoln escapes with a beautiful fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta. Pursued by the forces of the institute that once housed them, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a race for their lives to meet their makers.
Review: This is a verry cool futuristic action movie. It has all the ingredients for a action movie; shooting, a intense car chase, explotions and a hot babe. The movie is simply great entertainment. It has a good story and good actors, among others Steve Buscemi. It’s a movie taking place in the future and the futuristic effects are quite credible . All in all a great highspeed science fiction/action movie, a verry good five on the dice!!

Movie

Original title: Naboer
Nationality : Norwegian
Genre: Thriller
Released: 2004
Length: 72 min.
Directed by: Pål Sletaune
Actors: Kristoffer Joner, Cecilie Mosli, Julia Schacht
Outline: Strange things begins to happen as John is invited in to the beautiful sisters living next to him. The girls happens to know intimate details about Johns former affair. They confuse him with lies and manipulates him sexually. John is gradually trapped in their world and is loosing moore and moore control over himself .
Review: This is a special, mysterious and a bit spooky movie. It dives into the human mind, and is on the limit of being a horror movie. The film excites you moore and moore as it proceeds. Sexuality and violence are other ingredients, among other a bloody sex and slap scene. The use of music is verry good and has a thrilling effect. Kristoffer Joner, Cecilie Mosli and Julia Schact are splendid actors. This is a quite good psychological thriller by Pål Sletaune. A bit to special to be one of my top favourite movies, but it’s a good four on the dice.
