The norwegian football season is over. Vålerenga became champions after the thrilling last matches. Start also had the chance to win the league, but lost their game and ended on 2nd place. That’s a fantastic achievement considering they were in the first division last year. But anyhow, I think it was great to see someone else than Rosenborg winning “Tippeliagen”. It was about time, it’s thirteen years since last time. Bodø/Glimt got a sad farewell and lost 6-0 against Lyn. They even scored an own goal when the keeper threw the ball in Lyns goal and made it a miserable goodbye for Glimt. Hopefully they will play better next season against Tromsdalen, Hødd and all the others in 1st division..

Season 2 of the great tv-series “Lost” has started on TVN. It’s still a verry thrilling actionseries, with a lot of mysterious riddles. And for each riddle that is solved, there comes new ones. That’s the good thing about the series. The first two episodes of the new season looks promising!
Check out this norwegian site with lots of info about “Lost”.

In spite of one point and a fairly good match agianst leagueleader Start (1-1), it is now a fact that Bodø/Glimt will be in the 1st division next season. After 13 seasons in “Tippeligaen” they have to start over again and try to come back as soon as possible. It will be tough, many of the players will leave the club, so a rebuilding of the team will be necessary. But still I believe they will be one of the favourites to go up to “Tippeligaen” again. A new artificial grass field on Aspmyra will be positive, and they still have a lot of good and experienced players like Erik Hoftun, Runar Berg and Cato Hansen plus some promising youngsters. One of the sadest things about going down one division, is to realize that Tromsø is better than “us” at this moment..

Finally Kjell Magne Bondevik has been kicked out as norwegian prime minister. I think the new one, Jens Stoltenberg , will be a better and more respectable prime minister among the norwegian people.

Norway will be playing against the Chech Republic in the play-off matches for the world cup 2006. I think it will be two tough matches, but Norway could have a fairly good chance. Many of the Chech Republics starplayers are injured and will not be playing the two games the 12th and 16th November.

This thursdays episode of the humour program “Tre brødre som ikke er brødre” on NRK1 was quite good. Harald Eia and his two “brothers” can be a funny gang now and then, and this was one of these times. I particularly enjoyed the trailer for “a new nordic horror-movie, Kims lek”:) Thursday night is the humour evening on norwegian TV. Otto Jespersen’s “Rikets Røst” on TV2 is another good program in this category.

One of my favorite norwegian poprockbands, Briskeby, have released their new album called “Jumping On Cars”. It’s a verry good CD, and a step forward since the last album “Tonight, captain?”. The beautiful vocalist Lise Karlsnes and her gang are back to basics from their success debut five years ago. It’s fresh, energetic, cool and catchy tunes on this new album that has a lot of hit potential. The CD has ten tracks. My favorites so far are “Joe Dallesandro” and “Miss you like crazy”, but I think the whole album is a good listening experience.

Zoom in on whatever part of the world you would like to take a closer look at, and watch nature, buildings and all other kinds of stuff on a close range. It can be a lot of fun on a boring day to “travel” around the world with Google Earth:) You can download the program from here.
