George Best

George Best

Here’s some quotes from the Manchester United legend George Best:

- I used to go missing a lot…Miss Canada, Miss United Kingdom, Miss World.
- I’ve stopped drinking, but only while I’m asleep.
- I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
- In 1969 I gave up women and alcohol and it was the worst 20 minutes of my life.
- Pele called me the greatest footballer in the world. That is the ultimate salute to my life
- He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn’t score many goals. Apart from that he’s all right. (David Beckham)

A-HA - Analogue

Posted by Morten in Music

A-HA

My favorite norwegian band A-HA is back with a new album. “Analogue” is a various CD where both Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy have contributed with soundwriting. It’s for the most part a relaxing album containing 13 good tracks. My favorites are the first single “Celice” and “Birthright”. The CD also includes a bonus DVD with three songs from A-HA’s concert in Frognerparken Oslo, the music video for “Celice” and a interview with the band.

Madonna - Confessions On A Dancefloor

Posted by Morten in Music

Madonna

The discoqueen Madonna has made it again. A great pop album full of potential hits. The ABBA-sampled “Hung Up” sets the standard on this CD. In fact, I think almost every of the twelve tracks are good. It’s a continuous danceparty album where house and catchy dico mixes together in a great way. A counter-argument could be that it sounds a bit the same through the CD, but altogether it’s a quality album. Get out on the dancefloor :)

Keano leaves United

Posted by Morten in Football

Roy Keane

Manchester United have lost their captain and brilliant mid-field player Roy Keane. It’s a bit surprising that it happened now, since United have many players out with injuries and will not be able to buy a replacer until January. On the other side it’s no huge shock that “Keano” leaves the club, considering he’ve been criticising many of the players over the last weeks. Anyhow it’s verry sad and a big loss for United.

No world cup for Norway

Posted by Morten in Football

Norway did not manage to qualify for the world cup in Germany 2006. They lost both play-off matches against Czech Republic 1-0. The Czech team was all in all a better team, and deserved the spot in next years world cup. I was on Ullevål watching the first game. That was a lousy game from the norwegian team, but regardless of that it was fun being on Ullevål for the first time in my life. It’s a huge stadium compared with Bodø/Glimts Aspmyra. It was about 25 000 spectators and a great atmosphere. Well, well, Norway is out, but hopefully they will reach the next championship, Euro 2008.

Manchester U - Chelsea 1 - 0 !!!!!!!

Posted by Morten in Football

My favorite team Manchester United beat leagueleader Chelsea 1-0 at Old Trafford tonight. Darren Fletcher scored the winning goal. Hard, tight duels, tough tackles, high speed and good individual performances made it a match worth seeing. It was Cheleas first loss in the Premier League in over a year. A extremely important and fantastic victory for the red devils!!! :)
