The Island

Original title: The Island
Nationality: USA
Genre: Action / Drama / Sci-fi
Released: 2005
Length: 136 min.
Directed by: Michael Bay
Actors: Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi etc.
Outline: Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a apparently utopian but contained facility in the year 2019. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to the “The Island”, the last uncontaminated place on earth. But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. He and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones. Lincoln escapes with a beautiful fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta. Pursued by the forces of the institute that once housed them, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a race for their lives to meet their makers.

Review: This is a verry cool futuristic action movie. It has all the ingredients for a action movie; shooting, a intense car chase, explotions and a hot babe. The movie is simply great entertainment. It has a good story and good actors, among others Steve Buscemi. It’s a movie taking place in the future and the futuristic effects are quite credible . All in all a great highspeed science fiction/action movie, a verry good five on the dice!! 5

I am on the case and downloading this thing. I have a feeling that you let it get away too easily. I suspect the only good thing about this movie is Scarlett Johansson and that is before I have seen it. I’ll be back with some deep cutting critique.

Ok, it was not the worst movie, the story is not unique, mix of blade runner, matrix, aeon flux to name a few, too much happy ending, half way trough the movie you know how it will end, some nice action scenes except for the one surviving the fall off the sky scraper, it’s watchable, dice: 4.

Hello mr. John F. I agree that the scene where they survive falling off the sky scarper without a scratch is not that good and verry improbable.Beyond that I think it’s a entertaining movie.
