World Cup 2006

The first week of the Fifa World Cup 2006 in Germany is over. It’s been a fantastic week with lots of fantastic goals and football on a high level. And it’s still three weeks to go! Here is a list of the best so far in my opinion:

    If you compare the world before and after this “event” you can see that it has made no impact. This event is as insignificant as the wind that blows in the street at night.

    I see no evidence supporting your statement that it is entertaining. It is really just something the television industry has been promoting because it is an easy way to produce a lot of TV hours without really coming up with any revolutionary. Entertainment is relative, football may be entertaining compared to watching TV commercials, football may be entertaining compared to just watching a blank screen. Calling something entertaining is no excuse for bad taste.
